ATHLETE SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM 2021

GEELONG ATHLETE SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM

Each year The Injury Clinic supports local athletes in the Geelong area through a sponsorship program.

With the 2020 year disrupted, we have taken the opportunity to restructure our Athlete Sponsorship Program. We have spent time reflecting on aspects of the program that have worked well, and those that haven’t; we have also taken into consideration feedback from current athletes.

As a result, The Injury Clinic Athlete Sponsorship Program will look a little different in 2021, with a ‘pathway’ design in place to provide an opportunity for both new athletes to join the program every year, and athletes who are part of the program to continue on for > than 12 months.

2021 ATHLETE SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM

The Injury Clinic’s Athlete Development Program provides local athletes, between the ages of 14 and 25, access to an elite talent pathway that can assist in achieving their sporting goals and reach a professional level. This includes use of our training facilities, physiotherapists, sports dietitian, and strength & conditioning coach.
This program has been restructured to give motivated and hard working athletes an opportunity for ongoing support over a 3 year period. These changes have been made to facilitate growth of each athlete and encourage and support longer term goal setting.
During this time they will develop their communication skills, self management strategies, and a professional approach to their training. The goal of this pathway is to promote a seamless transition to elite level sport, with all the skills befitting a professional athlete.
