As a local small business, we like to support local events! Below is a list of some (definitely not all) of the local running and triathlon events that many of our clients train for and participate in.
SURF COAST CENTURY 2024
Every year The Injury Clinic enters teams in The Surf Coast Century. These teams are a mix of members of the TIC team, and clients.
Both of our teams this year did an amazing job!!

Firetails
The ‘Firetails’ are the Australian Womens Ultimate Frisbee Team. The clinic has supported the Firetails in 2024 during their World Championship campaign. The World Championships are set to take place on the Gold Coast in September (August 31st – September 7th). Laura and Liz will be travelling with the team over this tournament.
Barwon Heads Soccer Club
Barwon Heads Soccer Club is a local community soccer club in the Geelong and Bellarine region. The clinic recently ran workshop sessions for Junior teams at Barwon Heads SC that focused on various warm up drills and information on how to reduce the risk of injury in Juniors when playing soccer. The sessions were run by Sam, Harry and Darby and provided the players, parents and coaches great exposure to the role of Physiotherapy and importance of injury prevention.
Geelong Cricket Club
The Geelong Cricket Club are Geelong’s Premier level cricket club with several junior and senior Mens and Womens teams. The upcoming 2024/25 season will be the clinic’s third season involved, with physiotherapist Darby supporting the team at Tuesday night trainings, providing individual injury management advice. Mason and Alice have also been involved at the club, providing preseason strength testing and dietetics education sessions respectively.

Torquay Triathlon
The Torquay Triathlon is to be held on Sunday the 10th of November 2024 for its first year. The clinic will be sponsoring the event and will be down in Torquay supporting our clients! Physiotherapist Harry Carter will be participating, so come down and be apart of the cheer squad.
