Nutrition for Endurance Running Workshop

Fuelling for Marathon and Half Marathon Events

 

Are you training for your first Marathon or Half Marathon event and have questions about your nutrition?

Have you completed Marathons and Half Marathons previously and identified nutrition as an area you can improve?

Are you wanting to ensure you’re doing everything you can to hit a PB?

 

The Injury Clinic is hosting a nutrition workshop with our Sports Dietitian, Alice Rose. Alice is an Accredited Sports Dietitian, and the current Dietitian for the Geelong Football Club.

TOPICS COVERED WILL INCLUDE:

  • Nutrition tips and tricks to ensure you reach the start line feeling your best and confident in your race plan
  • How to appropriately fuel during training
  • Carb loading
  • Race day nutrition
  • Hydration considerations

 

If you’re new to endurance running, or are looking to continue to improve, this event will provide you with nutritional insights that will help your training, and performance on race day!

As a clinic that also offers physiotherapy and strength training services, we see a significant number of clients injured during training plans, and whilst there are always a number of contributing factors to consider, nutrition is more often than not a key one. So we encourage you to be proactive, and come and listen to some advice that will no doubt challenge the way you do things!
