Choc Weetbix Bliss Balls

These are a great afternoon snack. A healthy snack that will give you an afternoon energy hit. Chocolate protein powder could be added to the recipe instead of cacao powder to add some additional protein and help you feel full. However, these are very easy to overeat as they are small and moreish. A good tip is to put 3 small bliss balls into a zip lock bag and keep that as your portion for the day.


  • 4 Weetbix
  • 12 Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/2 cup Coconut
  • 1/4 cup Chia seeds
  • 2 tbs Cacao powder
  • 1 ts Vanilla essence
  • 3 tbs water
  • Extra desiccated coconut for rolling
  • *Can double ingredients to make a larger batch


  • 1 Soak dates in warm water for 20 minutes or until soft
  • 2 Place dates and all other ingredients, except water, in a food processor and mix until fine
  • 3 Gradually add water while processing until mixture is well combined
  • 4 Spoon mixture out, roll into balls and cover in extra coconut
  • 5 Refrigerate until set
  • 6 Store in the fridge or freezer
