SAM O’CONNOR

PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Sam graduated from La Trobe University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Health Science and Masters of Physiotherapy Practice. 

Having worked in private practice since graduating, Sam has a sound knowledge of a wide variety both of musculoskeletal conditions and sporting injuries. He has extensive experience in the field of orthopaedics and has worked with clients post-surgery (joint replacement / joint reconstruction / ligament reconstruction / muscle & tendon repair / bone fractures) to design successful rehabilitation programs and assist them in getting them back to doing the things they love.

Sam has a strong interest in strength and conditioning for both injury management and prevention, as well as a performance enhancement. He puts these skills, and comprehensive clinical reasoning to good use in his particular areas of interest: ACL reconstruction and return to sport, and; athletic hip and groin pain. The clinics gym facilities and Altered Gravity treadmill provide a great opportunity to help athletes overcome what are challenging and complex injuries with a targeted and sports specific rehabilitation program. 

Sam is a Geelong local who outside of the clinic enjoys the outdoors, with some running, surfing, camping and fishing. He has a love of sports having played football, basketball, and volleyball and both local and representative levels as a junior.
