THE INJURY CLINIC RUN CLUB

The Injury Clinic ‘Run Club’ provides the opportunity to have fun and run!

The Injury Clinic Run Club sessions are a free, informal running session for anyone in the local community. You don’t need to be a patient at the clinic; everyone is welcome!

Physiotherapists from The Injury Clinic will be running each session and be available for any questions you may have regarding anything; whether that be running technique, injuries, niggles, load and training.

You may complete some of it, you may complete all of it! We encourage everyone to consider their current running volume, goals, injury history, fatigue levels etc. when determining the pace they run and volume they complete.

You don’t have to do the whole session every week, just as much as you can comfortably manage!

Session 1 – Track Tuesdays

This session is designed to be challenging yet achievable. It is a speed/interval session designed to improve running efficiency, speed and overall performance.

Whilst everyone is welcome to this session, we recommend that you are able to run a minimum of 6-8km comfortably, and have had a degree of consistency in your running volume for at least 8 weeks prior to adding a track session.

 

When:   6am every Tuesday for 45-50 minutes

Where: Landy Field, South Geelong

 

Session 2 – Cruisey Thursdays

This is a 40 minute, out-and-back run which caters to runners of all different capabilities.

You can run or walk as fast, or as slow as you like. After 20 minutes, runners will turn around and head on back to the meeting point. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for a night time group run in a friendly, supportive and safe environment. Make sure to bring your head torch!

 

Where: Meet at Landy Field Car Park 

When:   Every Thursday at 6pm

Just turn up! You don’t have to do the whole session, just as much as you can comfortably manage.
