USEFUL PREGNANCY LINKS

Listed below are links that our Physiotherapists feel you may find useful or beneficial. This list is not exhaustive, merely a selection of resources that we find helpful.

  • SRC HEALTH – SRC make an excellent garment designed to support women during pregnancy. They give a reasonable amount of support to the perineum, pelvis and lower back. It can often be enough to reduce pain and discomfort.

  • CHEZ MA BELLE – This is a lingerie shop in Geelong with an excellent selection of maternity bras, including maternity sports bras. We would suggest being fitted towards the end of your pregnancy, but you will likely also need to be fitted at around 6-weeks post partum.

  • CONTINENCE AUSTRALIA – This website is fantastic and has a range of resources on the structure and function of the pelvic floor, pelvic floor exercises and information regarding continence.

  • PELVIC FLOOR FIRST – This website is run by Continence Australia, with a bit more specific information on the post partum pelvic floor. This is often good to read while pregnant so you have an idea of what to look out for after you deliver your baby.

  • PANDA – PANDA is an amazing service that helps support the mental and emotional health and wellbeing of new and expectant parents.
