HOMEMADE PIZZA PINWHEELS

These are the perfect after training or afternoon snack that will please everyone. Carbohydrates, protein and plenty of vegetables, these are a delicious warm snack that can be made in advance to save time. These are a great option to pack and have post training or competition at the athletics track, footy field or netball courts.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup wholemeal self-raising flour
  • 1 cup Greek Yoghurt
  • Toppings of your choice- tomato paste, cheese, spinach, chicken, tomato, mushrooms, zucchini etc

Method

  • 1 Pre-heat the oven to 190 degrees celsius.
  • 2 Combine the flour and yoghurt in a bowl until combined.
  • 3 Once a dough is formed, knead the dough for 4-5 minutes.
  • 4 Flour a chopping board and roll the dough until it’s 1cm thick. If the dough is too sticky, add extra flour.
  • 5 Top the dough with favourite toppings. Roll into a cylinder as tight as possible.
  • 6 Slice the dough into pin wheels and place the wheels flat onto a lined baking tray.
  • 7 Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
